An ode to the Ginkgo tree and the wisdom of the Lapiz Buddha..both alive over thousands of years. This visual came to me intuitively as the world around us plunged into darkness. 

As a symbol of clairvoyance, the third eye has been highlighted here with a single golden Ginkgo leaf.

Glimmers are small moments that evoke joy or peace. Once you begin looking for them, they appear everywhere. Warmth of sunshine on a cold day, wild flowers, flying birds, the smell of wet earth and frangipani flowers, waking up to birdsong, unexpected appearance of rainbows, serendipity…there’s millions of micro moments of goodness.

Was fun creating this mood in loose wabi sabi style and capturing the energy of glimmers with paint.

Mixed Media art made with classic watercolor techniques, color pencils, soft pastels and a hint of acrylics. It's a monochromatic color scheme but this painting took many weeks to finish! Handmade with love and lots of patience.
